Ann's Texas Hot Cocoa Cake

Ann’s Texas Hot Cocoa Cake recipe takes chocolate cake to a whole new level. It gets the gooey moistness (technical term) from icing the cake while it is still warm.

1 stick margarine
1 cup water
½ cup vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
2 cups self rising flour
2 eggs beaten
½ cup buttermilk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan bring first 4 ingredients to boil. Mix together sugar & flour. Pour boiled mixture into flour/sugar. Add in last 4 ingredients & mix well. Bake in greased & floured 9 x 13 pan, 30 – 35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Icing:

1 box confectioner’s sugar
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 stick melted butter or margarine
6 Tbsp milk

Mix ingredients together & pour over warm cake. Let cool & serve.
