Dump Cake

Dump Cake

Dump Cake is a great recipe to make when you are in a hurry but still want a delicious dessert. Just dump the ingredients in the dish and bake.

1 can crushed pineapple undrained
1 can cherry pie filling
1 stick butter or margarine
1 box of white or yellow cake mix
½ cup chopped nuts (I use pecans)

Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan. Dump in the pineapple. Add the cherry pie filling and spread over the pineapple. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the fruits and pat down with your hand or spatula. Sprinkle nuts over the top. Cut the butter in thin patties and lay on top. Do NOT stir. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool and serve.
