Chicken Log
Chicken Log is a great appetizer recipe to make ahead. Try this recipe for your next party, picnic, or take it along on your next camping trip.
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
1 Tbsp. Bottled steak sauce (A1)
½ teaspoon curry powder
1 ½ cups diced cooked chicken
1/3 cup minced celery
¼ cup chopped parsley
¼ cup chopped toasted almonds (pecans work well also)
Beat together first three ingredients. Blend in next two ingredients and 2 Tbsp. of the parsley. Shape mixture into a log. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill 4 hours or overnight. Toss together remaining parsley and nuts. Use to coat log. Serve with crackers.
