Mom's Cherry Yum Yum
Mom’s Cherry Yum Yum is a recipe I grew up with. It was a favorite at Christmas and Valentine's Day - very festive with the red cherries. I didn't make up the name, it really came with the recipe...try it and you will know why.
Mom always made this in a 2 qt. baking dish and made her own graham cracker crust. (Follow directions on the graham cracker crumb box). I use 2 prepared graham cracker pie shells. Mom’s was better, but there is that time issue.
8 oz. cream cheese softened
1 cup confectioners sugar
8 oz. container frozen whipped topping
1 can cherry pie filling
Mix together cream cheese & sugar. Fold in whipped topping & put in crust. Top with cherry pie filling.
