Ann's Caramel Corn

Make Ann’s Caramel Corn ahead & take it with you on your next hike, camping trip, or picnic. The kids will love it...and so will you.

2 cups light brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 stick butter
pinch cream of tartar
1 t baking soda
5 quarts popped popcorn

Put first 4 ingredients in saucepan and cook 5 minutes over medium heat. Add baking soda & stir. Pour over popcorn. Spread on jellyroll pan and bake for 45 minutes in 200-degree oven. Cool & break into chunks. YUM! Try putting in individual party favor bags to eat during the game or on a hike.
